I've been throwing clay since the 1960s — and I've never stopped. My studio in Geneva, Florida has been my home for over 50 years. Every morning I'm at the wheel because the clay still teaches me something new.
I founded the ceramics department at the University of Central Florida in 1972. In 1976, my piece Jar with Lid was selected for the Smithsonian Museum Collection of American Crafts. In 1993, I started making instructional videos so anyone, anywhere, could learn real pottery technique from a real working studio.
